2018 NCAEEC Annual Meeting
at Chestnut Ridge Camp & Retreat Center
Efland, North Carolina
Our gathering included over 80 staff and management from EE centers, as well as interested individuals from across the state. We began our pre-conference activities on a rainy Thursday afternoon, but that did not dampen our spirits! 20 fun-loving educators participants enjoyed hands-on EE activities during the afternoon and our overnight guests took part in Chris Smith's EE Quiz along with a campfire and S'mores.
The morning of the Annual meeting broke bright, sunny and windy (after a bluster night for the cabin dwellers). Registration began with a bang. A greater than expected number of registrants arrived at Chestnut Ridge (even more than pre-registered, we had to set up extra tables!). That may explain the potato shortage at lunch. We had a great group of professionals AND a group of students from NC State University joined us as well. Opportunities for hands-on science, idea sharing and professional development we available in a variety of ways. See the agenda for more details.
We hope you can join us for another NCAEEC meeting in the future!
